The [jdbc documentation](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-jdbc.html#plugins-inputs-jdbc-last_run_metadata_path) shows that the default value of last\_run\_metadata\_path is `/Users/suyog/.logstash_jdbc_last_run`, which looks like the eval'ed value in the machine of the person who generated the documentation (on a Mac). The code seems to suggest that the actual default value is `#{ENV['HOME']}/.logstash_jdbc_last_run`

Yes, that's indeed a bug. To get attention by someone who can fix it, please file a GitHub issue.

I originally intended to post this on github, but the notice there told me to post it here first. Is the fact that you've answered the confirmation I needed to post back there on github?

Yes, please file an issue. For clear and obvious bugs you can always file issues.
