# Does CVE-2024-43706 affect to 7.x versions?

Regarding CVE-2024-43706, are 7.x versions affected by this? The [announcement](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/kibana-8-12-1-security-update-esa-2024-21/379064) is not clear on that.

If it is not, it would be good to add it in the announcement!
