# Does search perform faster if we use a lower number for setResultsPerPage() in Search-UI?

Hello there,

Currently using App Search with search-ui react library and was wondering if using a small number for the setResultsPerPage function reduces search time.

I don't know off of the top of my head. I **suspect** that the answer is no, it does not affect the query performance.
