I am running Elastic Stack 5.0 alpha5. It's great that I can now use dotted variables again. At least now an ingest node will accept them but I still need to be able to rename them using an ingest node pipeline. I see in the documentation how to use the dot expander ingest node processor but it is not listed when I list the ingest processors. Am I overlooking something or is the documentation just ahead of the code?

5.0 is great! Thank you for any light you may be able to shed on this.

Hey,

the pull request has only been closed seven days ago, so it is not part of the alpha5 release.

See [https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/20078](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/20078)

That helps. Another reason to look forward to the beta release. Thank you.
