# Duplicate an existing graph/chart for another index

Hi,

I have created a dashboard in kibana which has around 10-15 graphs which uses an index1 say for enviornment1.

I have another similar index2 for env2 and i want to create dashboard2 but this time pointing to the index2.

Is there a shortcut to do so or anything that could be done behind the scenes?

Or do i have to create all the 10-15 graphs again pointing to the new index2.

Please help.

Hi Mark,

I have exported the dashboard, but the JSON does not have any data related to the INDEX? what is that i need to change in order for all the graphs in this dashboard to point to different index(s).?

You will need to edit the json yourself.

Yes I will edit the json, but i cannot see that it gives any information about the elasticsearch INDEXs that are used.
