# ECE Installation and Openfile values

Though, the right value is set for the open file descriptors, the installer still reports requirements not met.

The values mentioned in the snippet do not seem to match [ECE documented installation steps](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-enterprise/current/ece-configure-hosts-rhel-centos.html) so I assume some other steps were not followed and might cause this. I would suggest following the appropriate doc depending on the OS and verifying all the steps to prepare the host

Note ulimit should be run inside a docker container if you want to test so it might give more relevant than running on the server directly:

```auto
$ docker run -it busybox sh
/ # cat /proc/sys/fs/file-max

```
