# ECK Fleet startup failure on ECK on Cloud

Thanks everyone for your input.

There is indeed a bug in the ECK Agent controller that leads to this behavior. Please see GitHub [issue](https://github.com/elastic/cloud-on-k8s/issues/4790#issuecomment-910463148) for bug description and workaround. The [fix](https://github.com/elastic/cloud-on-k8s/pull/4807) is planned to be released in `1.8.0`.
