# Edit Hardware Profile in Elasticsearch Instance

Hi,

Is it possible to edit the Hardware Profile Configuration? I would like to change my Hardware Profile from I/O Optimized to Memory Optimized. Is that possible?

Hi flash1293,

Yes, this is about Elastic Cloud. Is it possible to change the Hardware Profile Configuration in my Elastic Cloud instance ? I have also raised a support ticket for the same.

Not directly. You can increase the size of the cluster, thereby adding more resources, or you can change the instances type (hot/cold etc). That's the only options.
