# Egexp query not working

it`s strange but widcard query is working  
{  
"query": {  
"wildcard": {  
"NE\_Name": "\*L"  
}  
}  
}

{

"timed\_out": false,  
"\_shards": {  
"total": 1,

"failed": 0  
},

But regexp query not working. I mean responce is empty

Why ?
