# Elasti search reindexing indexes only few 1000 or more documents but not to the original count of orginal index

Elasti csearch reindexing indexes only few 1000 or more documents but not to the original count of orginal index

I am using using AWS step functions with lambda to run reindexing for all 33 index paralley out of 33 only 26 got succeeded and for remaining 7 the count became constant at a period of time.

Also i see only monitoring tasks are left after few hours but still the new index is not populated with all data  
NOT sure why .. could someone please explain.

I am using /\_reindex api calling via python http module
