# Elastic Agent Elasticsearch output via proxy

Greetings all!

I am looking for a sample proxy configuration to use with the Elasticsearch output for Fleet-managed Elastic Agents. I'm working with a group who wants to expose as little as possible of their Elastic Stack to the environment being monitored, so they're looking to have the Beats (which are of course managed/configured by Elastic Agent) send their Elasticsearch output to a proxy that then relays to the Elasticsearch cluster nodes. The documentation at [Use a proxy server with Elastic Agent and Fleet | Fleet and Elastic Agent Guide [8.2] | Elastic](http://elastic.co/guide/en/fleet/8.2/fleet-agent-proxy-support.html) shows just one entry, for the proxy URL, in the Advanced YAML configuration block. Are there any other (relatively) well-known settings I can recommend they include?

The proxy can also be retrieved through environment variables `HTTPS_PROXY` or `HTTP_PROXY`.
