# Elastic agent fleet server stuck in "updating" in UI

Hi,

When upgrading from 8.6.2 to 8.12.1 the fleet server agent is stuck at updating. Initially we missed the sha file, but that is fixed. Still no luck.

The artifact repo is reachble and we are running on windows.

we have restarted the agent and server multiple times. How do we get the agent out of the "updating" state?

The fleet server is currently offline.
