# Elastic Cloud Cross Cluster Replication

As far as I concerned, Elastic is providing cross-cluster replication whereby user can have a secondary cluster serving as a hot backup -- [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/xpack-ccr.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/xpack-ccr.html)

However, it is not yet available in Elastic Cloud -- [Elastic Cloud Cross Cluster Replication](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/elastic-cloud-cross-cluster-replication/213778)

Based on the forum, Elastic is working to remove such limitation. If this is true, what ETA can we expect?

Or, it is even better if there is a better alternative Elastic can offer.
