# Elastic Cloud - Not able to Update indices.query.bool.max\_clause\_count

HI,  
Im using elastic cloud and need to update "indices.query.bool.max\_clause\_count: 2048" in the elasticsearch.yml, but having below error. Anyone have the same experience and how we solve this ?

It's a static setting apparently so maybe that's why it's not updateable in cloud?

Hi @dadoonet  
Noted and thanks a lot for your reference.  
I'm trying to update the config due to common error "field expansion matches too many fields, limit: 1024".

I'm still waiting response from support also how to resolve this, and if the config is really static, that is not good.
