# Elastic Cloud vs Azure Monitor

Hello,

We have hired Elastic Cloud to monitor our on-premises platform. We are migrating our software to Azure. So far we have been working with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Workbooks... but we haven't spent much time on it.

Having Elastic, we were thinking of monitoring Azure with this tool, but we have doubts internally between different departments, about what very differential advantages Elastic can provide.

Can someone who has done this analysis tell us why they chose one or the other?
