# Elastic License Migration

Is it possible to migrate the licenses from one cluster to another?
For example, I have a DC cluster and a DR cluster. When DC goes down, I want to migrate the license from DC to DR. Is it possible?

If you have a License you should be able to ask the support of Elastic this. You will have a supported answer at that point.

You need to contact support for a better answer, but based on what you described this is not possible.
It seems that you want to activate a license on another cluster when your main cluster goes down, this would mean that you would use the same license on 2 cluster.
Unless you are going to decomission the DC cluster, I do not think this would be allowed by the license as it would lead to have 2 clusters using the same license.
