# Elastic search as a service

Hello All ,I am new to elastic search .I have recenly built 4 node elastic search .1 master node,2 master+data and 1 Dedicated data node.We have installed ES using the  
tar file on redhat 7. We are not using Root access.Current elastic search is running using the daemon process but we would like to start is as a service .How to we do that ?

Ideally you would use the RPM package, as it includes a service file. If you don't you will need to build your own service file as the tar doesn't contain one.
