# Elastic search SQL

Why elastic search is generating very large cursors . This is happening for me today only.

Do you get something like that you mean?

It's totally expected, since the cursor returned by SQL contains more info than the [ES scroll\_id](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.6/search-request-body.html#CO608-3) which is necessary for the upcoming requests to fetch the paginated data.
