# Elastic synthetic error - You can't manually starts test on a private location

Hi all,  
Using elastic version 8.8.0. I have created private location. added the same while creating a monitor as shown in image. Please check error below.

My health-check api is not working. Current status is also showing pending.

Hi @Amol_Nagotkar,

Is your monitor stuck in pending? Are you making use of a custom ingest pipeline?

I wonder if you are encountering a similar issue to [this topic](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/elastic-synthetics-stuck-in-pending-with-private-location/361587). Can you check and confirm?

Hi ma'am

as per this documentation -\> [Troubleshooting Synthetics | Elastic Observability [8.17] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/observability/current/synthetics-troubleshooting.html)

i have to install feet-server and elastic-agent. But both are getting installed on path /opt/Elastic/Agent. thats why my elastic-agent is not getting installed. how to solve this ?
