# Elasticsearch 1.7.2 released

Today, we are happy to announce the bug fix release of Elasticsearch 1.7.2, based on Lucene 4.10.4. This is the latest stable release. Users are advised to upgrade if they find themselves affected by any of the bugs which have been fixed.
