# Elasticsearch 5.3 EC2 Discovery Issue

Hi everyone,

I have built 3 master nodes and 6 data nodes on ec2 instances. I am unable to have my nodes discover each other. Is there any reference? I have looked at the documentation and followed the same but it doesn't seem to work. I don't need an ingest node for my use-case but is it made mandatory for 5.3?

I have installed EC2 Discovery plugin on all my nodes and configured my elasticsearch.yml file. Dont know where is it going wrong. Any help is appreciated.
