# Elasticsearch 7.13.4 and 7.14.1 request memory higher than actual heap size

Hi All,

Is there a case that the memory is consumed by elasticsearch requests (and the circuit breaker kicks in) but it is not shown in heap usage? The circuit breaker is 70% of the JVM heap and what we see makes no sense.

We tried to upgrade from 7.13.4 to 7.14.1 and there was no change

This happens when the request memory usage is reaching the request circuit breaker limit, so it is not up there yet.  
The view from Grafana shows that JVM usage is more than the request memory usage.
