# Elasticsearch and EnterpriseSearch on different servers

We have installed Elasticsearch and Kibana on-prem on Windows. Now we also want to install EnterpriseSearch but it is not possible on Windows.

Is it possible and advisable to deploy the ELK stack with EnterpriseSearch deployed on Linux and Elasticsearch etc. on Windows?

Thanks for any help and advise.

Hey GoMink,

Great question, and yes, it's possible. You just need to make sure the two hosts have access to each other and that Kibana and Enterprise Search have been configured to know where each other (and Elasticsearch) are.
