Hi,

When I execute this [script](https://github.com/trevorndodds/elasticsearch-metrics/blob/master/Grafana/elasticsearch2elastic.py), It created the indices for each day e.g apm-2017-11-28 , apm-2017-11-29
the actual index is apm. I want to prevent them to create indices for each day.
Actually I want to monitor elasticsearch cluster through [Grafana](https://qbox.io/blog/how-to-monitor-elasticsearch-with-grafana)
Anybody help me to find out the solution ?

Hi @Osama_Tariq, the index naming convention used by that script is hard-coded here:

If you want to change it it's probably best to talk to the authors directly, maybe [opening an issue](https://github.com/trevorndodds/elasticsearch-metrics/issues)?

You can also monitor a cluster using the [tools that are already there in the Elastic stack](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elastic-stack-overview/7.0/xpack-monitoring.html).
