# Elasticsearch Dashboard in Grafana

Hello,

I am kind of new with Elasticsearch and I would appreciate if you can help me with this. I am trying to create a dashboard in Grafana by following the below link.

Now my question is, how/where to look for ES\_METRICS\_CLUSTER\_URL and ES\_METRICS\_INTERVAL in Elasticsearch. Below is my current configuration and I know that this is wrong.

**# ElasticSearch Cluster to Monitor**  
**elasticServer = os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_CLUSTER\_URL', '[http://x.x.x.x:9200](http://x.x.x.x:9200)')**  
**interval = int(os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_INTERVAL', '60'))**

**# ElasticSearch Cluster to Send Metrics**  
**elasticIndex = os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_INDEX\_NAME', 'elasticsearch\_metrics')**  
**elasticMonitoringCluster = os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_MONITORING\_CLUSTER\_URL', '[http://x.x.x.x:9200/\_cluster/state/](http://x.x.x.x:9200/_cluster/state/)')**

If you run grafana and elasticsearch locally you should use:

**elasticServer = os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_CLUSTER\_URL', '[http://localhost:9200](http://localhost:9200/)')**

**elasticMonitoringCluster = os.environ.get('ES\_METRICS\_MONITORING\_CLUSTER\_URL', '[http://localhost:9200/\_cluster/state/](http://localhost:9200/_cluster/state/)')**
