# Elasticsearch Disk Space alerts

Hi,
How can we get alerted if disk space drops below 10% on Elastic Cloud?
We had a major outage due to low disk space on Friday when all indexes automatically got marked read-only.

Hey @BKG,
If you are currently using [Elasticsearch Service](https://www.elastic.co/cloud/elasticsearch-service), there should be an automatic alerting mechanism to notify you when you are about to run out of disk space. However, I'm afraid you are at the wrong place and should see [https://www.elastic.co/cloud/as-a-service/support](https://www.elastic.co/cloud/as-a-service/support) on how to raise a support ticket for Elastic Cloud.
This forum is for [Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE)](https://www.elastic.co/products/ece), which is a whole different product 🙂
