I was using the Elasticsearch Docker image from Docker Hub, but that was recently deprecated in favor of Elastic's own Docker registry (which is fine). The problem is that Elastic seems to have included X-Pack in that image. Is there an X-Pack-free official image somewhere on the Elastic registry?

X-Pack is free for 30 days. Then you need to get a License.
There is a free one. See BASIC here: [https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions](https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions)

I moved your question to #x-pack BTW

Thanks for the quick response David, but unfortunately that wasn't my question. I'm looking for an image without a pre-installed X-Pack

Ha sorry. I misread "X-Pack-free official image".

Moving back to #elasticsearch then... 😊
