Hi everyone!

I use enrich policy to enrich indexes with data from another indexes.

Link Documentation : [Enrich your data | Elasticsearch Guide [7.16] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.16/ingest-enriching-data.html)

its works fine, but my problem is Elasticsearch doesn't remove old enrichment indexes.

When i execute for example :

GET .enrich-users\_policy/\_search

"hits" : [
{
"\_index" : ".enrich-users\_policy-13441414",
\*\*\*\*\*
},
{
"\_index" : ".enrich-users\_policy-744",
\*\*\*\*\*
},
{
"\_index" : ".enrich-users\_policy-7474747",
\*\*\*\*\*
},

knowing that i execute the policy each 15 minutes.

Elasticsearch do not delete automatically old enrichment indexes ?

I have to delete it manually ?

Thanks

Hi @Slim_Saddem Welcome to the community.

Per the docs

> **[Execute enrich policy API | Elasticsearch Guide \[7.16\] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.16/execute-enrich-policy-api.html)**

> Instead, update your source indices and [execute](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.16/execute-enrich-policy-api.html) the enrich policy again. This creates a new enrich index from your updated source indices. The previous enrich index will deleted with a delayed maintenance job. By default this is done every 15 minutes.
