# Elasticsearch FAILED

Hi,  
I am trying to install ELK on Ubuntu server 18.04 but when starting, elasticsearch service failed.  
Please!! Help me!!. Thank you!!.  
Java verison :  
openjdk version "1.8.0\_222"

@TheSun, Can you please provide some error log of elasticsearch which may helpful to understand the issue? The log you have provided does't have any error log.

When Elasticsearch fails during startup it is often due to bootstrap checks. You can find [an example in this thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/not-starting-elasticsearch-for-some-reason-i-cant-undestand/177092).
