I have two questions regarding Elasticsearch feature.

1. When a threshold exceeds, can we perform http POST instead of alert?

Simple Use Case:
When a threshold exceeds, we need to restart our application. (Application has the capability to restart a machine through http POST).

So, expectation from Kibana is, if threshold exceeds, is it possible to perform http POST? If so, how?

1. What are the Cost Benefits of Elastic cloud over AWS(We use Rancher to provision)?

1. Have a look at alerting feature in elasticsearch. It requires at least a gold license (or a trial).
2. Cloud by elastic is one way to have access to all features, all managed by us. Think about what is there yet like Security, Monitoring, Reporting, SQL and what is coming like Canvas...

Alerting feature is available out of the box in cloud by elastic.

Am currently running elk with 30 days trial set-up.

My question is,

Does kibana watcher provide a way to perform http post through watcher action?

Able to perform it through webhook. Sorry I didn't read the documentation properly. It is mentioned with good examples. Thanks
