# Elasticsearch indices is filling up the storage

Hi all,

Please note that I am facing a dilemma in elasticsearch. the indices size seems to vary greatly. I was storing the data and the index size was 5 to 10 GB. Now when I give it to the new path in another drive the index size is reaching up to 80GB and it is consuming my Harddisk

Running Logstash 6 and elasticsearch 5.6.12  
also using pipelines to forward the data

Any help would be appreciated.
