# Elasticsearch multiple nodes - index not working

Hi,

I have a little problem. I started multiple nodes on one machine in one cluster.

But now if i want to create index. It isn't working.

```
 {
     "settings" : {
            "index" : {
                "number_of_shards" : 3,
                "number_of_replicas" : 2
            }
        }
}

```

Upper is index mapping.  
Response is ok.

```
{
  "acknowledged": true
}

```

but in head plugin its look like this.

Configs look like this

```
node.name: testnode1
network.host: 127.0.0.1

```

All others settings is set to default.

Is there any other settings which i have to use to working multiple nodes on one machine? If there is, i can't find it. Can you help me please?

So your nodes have clustered, but they aren't allocating anything.  
What do the logs show?

There's your answer then, you need more disk space.

Can I set shards max size?

I think that 11gb will be enough.
