Hi,

I have indexed few documents and using multimatch query to find match
based on field 'last\_name'. I found that multimatch query search with and
without field boost is showing me same score. Can someone explain this
behavior. Iam using elasticsearch 1.3.2

PUT /megacorp/employee/1
{
"first\_name" : "John",
"last\_name" : "Smith",
"age" : 25,
"about" : "I love to go rock climbing",
"interests": ["sports", "music"]
}

PUT /megacorp/employee/2
{
"first\_name" : "Jane",
"last\_name" : "Smith",
"age" : 32,
"about" : "I like to collect rock albums",
"interests": ["music"]
}

PUT /megacorp/employee/3
{
"first\_name" : "Douglas",
"last\_name" : "Fir",
"age" : 35,
"about": "I like to build cabinets",
"interests": ["forestry"]
}

POST /megacorp/employee/\_search
{
"query" : {"multi\_match" : {
"query": "Smith",
"fields": ["last\_name^5.0"]
}}
}

POST /megacorp/employee/\_search
{
"query" : {"multi\_match" : {
"query": "Smith",
"fields": ["last\_name"]
}}
}

Thanks,
Sarath
