Hello,

Is there a way to allow a user to only read (all) index templates?

I can only find `manage_index_templates`, which also allows create, update..

This is correct, manage template will allow all operations on templates currently (you can track [Analyze and get templates index action privileges · Issue #47500 · elastic/elasticsearch · GitHub](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/47500) to track if this changes in the future)
Thanks
