Hi all
i have a single ES installation which is ElasticSearch ver.20.6
today i saw it's not working correctly and i the cluster status is Red.i
see some unassigned shards in my ES head, too.
searching around i found that there is a problem when installing another ES
on a same LAN, but i don't understand why.
yesterday i installed another app which use elasticsearch as DB. the only
common thing that they have is there are installed on the same broadcast
domain.

anyway, is the unassigned shards related to my other installation?
if yes how could i remove them to make elasticsearch functional again.

Hey,

the information you provided is quite sparse. Is there anything in the log
files? What do you mean with "problem installing another ES on the same
LAN" - did the two elasticsearch instances form a cluster, so a lot of your
data was relocated to the second node, which then was removed and may have
lead to a data loss (only speculation here, but might have been happened).
Not too much to tell without more infos.

Apart from that, please dont reply to your own thread, especially if it is
weekend, you should not expect instant replies 🙂
