# Elasticsearch to speedup social media feed

Hi,
It is very well known fact that EL is used to speed-up search capabilities within a website. You can implement search based on the time frame and display the results.
My thought is that let's suppose if it is a Facebook type of social media platform, with millions of users and PBs of data indexed in EL. Can you use Elasticsearch to render facebook timeline to improve feed/content loading ?
You may think timeline as a page to display elasticsearch results for 0 to past 2 hrs on page one and upon scroll down display elasticsearch results for 2 to past 4 hrs on page two and so on. . .
