I could be very wrong here as I have not deployed ELK in years. I opted to use the bitnami image to speed things up but I'm not sure if I should just scrap what I have and do the install manually.

I'm trying to set permissions so users can view the security dashboards however that throws an error and according to a post here it is related to permissions. I went to create a test user and I get these java errors that I don't really understand because it's related to x-pack-security which I'm not even sure is configured correctly.

key generation:

```auto
> bin/kibana-encryption-keys generate
> bash: bin/kibana-encryption-keys: No such file or directory
```

so that's one issue but I think my main issue is trying to find a good guide to properly configure x-pack-security which I think will fix this java return. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to our community! 😃

I don't know how the bitnami image is built, so I can't comment there. Have you seen [Install Elasticsearch with Docker | Elasticsearch Guide [8.3] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/docker.html)?
