# Email Connector

Hi Team, i am trying to create Email connector using the gmail which has 2 factor authentication enabled. What need to be done in this case? no option to enable app password.

Hi @narayanaitrecruiter ,

Are you talking about the [Elastic Connector for Gmail](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/enterprise-search/current/connectors-gmail.html)?

If so, have you followed the prerequisite instructions for authentication to create a Google Service Account? If not, please follow the steps described here: [Elastic Gmail connector reference | Enterprise Search documentation [8.14] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/enterprise-search/current/connectors-gmail.html#connectors-gmail-client-connector-authentication-prerequisites)

This connector does not use 2-factor auth that requires human intervention, but an OAuth2 Client Credentials flow. So I think you may have missed the setup of the requisite "application" and credentials.
