Is it possible to pass dynamic param/query\_string from an embedded iframe, there was discussion but no direct answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Which discussion are you referring to?

This is possible as Kibana is storing the applied filters in the URL. Just go to a dashboard, configure a filter and look at the URL - it will contain the filter definition encoded in rison. You can use that as a template and fill in the values you require in your embedding application.
