# Ems behind a firewall

Good morning,

I am trying to get the base map to load in ems but I am behind a firewall. I was looking at the work around recommended at [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/7.x/maps-connect-to-ems.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/7.x/maps-connect-to-ems.html) but I was curious which kind of tile servers are supported? I am able to add a web map service from the internet without an issue, so I dont see a reason why I cant access [tiles.maps.elastic.co](http://tiles.maps.elastic.co) since it should be pulling through the browser; if I understand correctly. Do you have any sample links that I could use for the map.tilemap.url variable?

What version of Kibana are you running? Are you using Maps application or coordinate map/region map visualizations?

Is your browser behind the firewall?
