# Enable Kibana 3 logging?

Kibana 4 has the "logging.dest" and "log\_file" options to direct Kibana's logs to a file.

The official documentation does not mention any such options for Kibana 3.

Can anybody confirm that this is because Kibana 3 _does not log_, or is this simply a documentation oversight? If the feature exists, how do I enable it?

Kibana 3 doesn't have a server component so there are no server side logs.
