# Enabling X-Pack gives JVM error

Redhat 7, Elasticsearch 6.4.1, installet by the puppet/elasticsearch module.

When I try to enable x-pack security, the cluster does not start up.

The cluster log says :  
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.io.FilePermission" "/etc/elasticsearch/elastic\_sits/scripts" "read")

I have not added any scripts (the folder is empty)

Any suggestions?

I used the 6.2.x, and found that the pre 6.3 has an error/bug that is the source of the error i Got.

Upgraded to 6.3.x, and the error is gone.
