Greetings All,

I'm using dm-crypt to encrypt data at rest. When I open the encrypted disk and mount it, my Elasticsearch cluster's health goes red. I'm not sure why.

Has anyone successfully encrypted data at rest?

Elasticsearch can definitely run on top of dm-crypt.

You should find out why. The Elasticsearch API and log files should give you enough information to work out why your cluster is red.

Start with: [Cluster Health | Elasticsearch Reference [6.0] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.0/cluster-health.html)
