Is there anyway of adding Epoch nano (1498647918244999936
) as a custom date format int he mapping field?

It appears that Elasticsearch does not currently support epoch nano. It is an open issue so you may want to contribute to the discussion on GitHub.

Thanks Eddie.
I contributed to the thread earlier in the year. I saw the option for custom date fields and was hoping this was the answer.
I am hoping it gets merged in ELK 6! Doubtful though
