# Error fetching alert status Stack Monitoring

Hi @vikasgurlinka, can you try the instructions in this [similar Discuss issue](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/stack-monitoring-error-fetching-alert-status/257240/5) to see if this resolves your error toast? The error refers to some problem with the built in stack monitoring rules that are automatically created when you visit the Stack Monitoring UI but should not affect the rest of your Stack Monitoring displays.
