# Error Loading the metric-\* index on dashboard

Hi Team,  
I installed a new ELK server and also created a Index for metric beat and file-beats. But i am getting index error on dashboard of metric beat system overview.

Hey @shahid,

What version of Metricbeat and Kibana are you using?

In Kibana if you go to Management \> Index Patterns, do you see an index pattern named `metricbeat-*`?

Thanks. I think you might be running into this bug: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/25246#issuecomment-436631555](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/25246#issuecomment-436631555).

Can you try using 6.3.0 of the stack and see if you get the same behavior on the dashboard?
