# Error on starting ES 5.4.1 on Win10 or Win2008 R2

Hi there

Getting this error when starting ES 5.4.1 via CMD:  
C:\elasticsearch-5\_4\_1\bin\>elasticsearch.bat  
Error: Could not find or load main class org.elasticsearch.bootstrap.Elasticsearch

Setup:  
Download and Setup JAVA (jdk-8u131-windows-x64.exe)  
Set JAVA\_HOME to JDK install DIR (C:\java\jdk1\_8\_0\_131)  
Downloas latest ES (elasticsearch-5.4.1.zip)  
Unzip to C:\elasticsearch-5\_4\_1  
Try to start \> C:\elasticsearch-5\_4\_1\bin\>elasticsearch.bat

Sorry, my download of ES 5.4.1 was corrupted...

Downloaded it again and works 🙂
