# Error start kibana cannot find module

Hi,

I am not sure whats happening here. I found a really old thread - [Kibana startup fails - Cannot find module 'source-map' - #11 by arieljake](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/kibana-startup-fails-cannot-find-module-source-map/38501/11)

Which version of the stack are you running? How are you running kibana? Cloud, on prem? and is it elastic cloud? Did you download from here? [Download Elastic Products | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/downloads/)
