When trying to start elasticsearch in my local machine (OS X Lion) with the following command:
_elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch -f_
I am getting this error:
_dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libintl.8.dylib
Referenced from: /opt/local/bin/getopt
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/opt/local/lib/libintl.8.dylib: mach-o, but wrong architecture
Error parsing arguments!_

Has anyone came up with this error in the past and found a solution?

Lion messes up the development environment at many places. So, it removes
gettext. Try to reinstall from MacPorts with

sudo port clean gettext

sudo port install gettext

How have you installed elasticsearch? Downloading from
[Elasticsearch Platform — Find real-time answers at scale | Elastic](http://www.elasticsearch.org/download/) & unpacking, using Homebrew? Are you
using MacPorts, Fink?
