# Errors from the virtual machine which hosts the ES

Hello, could you please check if you can reach the logs here:

The specified IP is the affected machine. While RDP is functioning correctly, I cannot ping 20.123.75.169:9200 via cmd. I ran **netstat -an | find /i “listening”** and did not find port 9200 listening, but port 9300 was active. According to the discussion [here](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/what-are-ports-9200-and-9300-used-for/238578), port 9300 is a custom port and should work fine.
